Water users may request an up-grade of an existing water service. If the existing service provides a flow of more than 20 gallons per minute as measured from outflow at the meter, a fee shall be charged for the up-grade. The fee shall be equal to one-half of the cost of the hook-up charge for a new service (as provided in §20.02.030, above). If the requested up-grade includes a water meter exceeding ¾ inch, the owner or person requesting the up-grade shall pay an additional charge for the meter. The meter charge shall be equal to the difference between the cost of a new, ¾ inch meter, and the cost of the larger meter requested. These fees and charges shall be paid before any work on the up-grade is performed. (Ord. 192-N, §1, 1991)
