(1) It shall be unlawful to operate or park a snowmobile on any sidewalk in the Town.

(2) No snowmobile shall be operated in the Town at speeds in excess of 15 MPH.

(3) No snowmobile shall carry passengers or weights exceeding the capacity recommended by its manufacturer.

(4) No sled, toboggan, trailer or other device shall be towed by a snowmobile except by means of a rigid tow bar connecting the same to such a device.

(5) No snowmobile shall tow a person or skis.

(6) It shall be unlawful to operate a snowmobile while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or habit forming drugs.

(7) All snowmobiles shall be operated in single file on the right-hand side of the street.

(8) Snowmobile operation on the Town’s streets shall be limited to ingress or egress to and from the Town; the Town streets are not to be used as a place of recreation for snowmobiles.

(9) No person shall operate a snowmobile carelessly and needlessly, nor shall any person operate a snowmobile without due caution and circumspection and at a speed in a manner as to endanger or be likely to endanger any person or property.

(10) No person shall operate a snowmobile on that part of State Highway 27 which is within the confines of the Town (4th Street north and south, and Main Street east and west) unless there is a valid reason to cross the highway, and only then when done in accordance with RCW 46.10.100, which is expressly adopted by reference and incorporated herein; there shall be no other type of snowmobile traffic allowed in the area.

(11) It shall be unlawful to operate a snowmobile in any area or in such a manner as to expose underlying soil, vegetation, or to injure, damage, or destroy trees or growing crops.

(12) It shall be unlawful to operate any snowmobile on any private, Town or school property without written authorization to do so from the property owner or his authorized agent.

(13) In addition to regulations for snowmobile operations established herein, operators of snowmobiles upon the Town’s public streets shall be required to adhere to and obey all motor vehicle rules of the road as set forth in Chapter 46.10 RCW. (Ord. 84-N, §7, 1976)
