The Mayor, at his discretion or upon the advice of the Town Fire Chief, shall annually proclaim the existence and duration of a fire season, or the extended duration thereof. During this fire season, it shall be unlawful for any person or entity, or the employees thereof, to ignite, kindle, or burn any bonfire or similar lawful, intentional fire without first securing a written fire permit.
