The flood protection required under the terms of this chapter is considered reasonable for the regulatory purposes of this chapter. Larger floods can and will occur which affect areas and uses outside of the designated special flood hazard areas. As such, this chapter shall not create liability on the part of the Town, any officer or employee thereof, or the Federal Insurance Administration for any flood damages that result from reliance on the provisions of this chapter or on any administrative decisions lawfully made thereunder.
