Before undertaking the duties of office, the Marshal shall take the Constitutional oath of office, and shall execute a bond, satisfactory to the Council, payable to the Town, for the sum of $500.00. This bond shall be conditioned upon the Marshal’s faithful performance of all the duties of office, and shall be paid by the Town and filed with the Clerk. The Marshal’s bondsman shall also be liable for all temporary deputies appointed for a temporary period. (Ord. 9-N, §3, 1947)
