The existence of well maintained trees within the Town of Garfield provides many aesthetic and practical benefits for the Town’s residents and visitors to the Town. To promote the existence of such trees on public properties, it is in the public interest of the residents of the Town of Garfield that a comprehensive plan for the planting and maintenance of trees on such properties within the Town be developed. It is the purpose of this chapter to establish regulations relating to the planting, care, and maintenance of such trees. (Ord. 295-N, §2, 2003)
